Talking with PPG groups

This week, we took part in a conference to bring together all the Patient Participation Groups across Kent.

Patient Participation Groups are often known as PPGs. Every GP surgery should have one and they are made up of patients and professionals.  Their role is to use feedback from patients to improve the GP practice.

We met with nearly a hundred PPG members and heard lots of feedback from patients before taking to the stage and talking about how important PPG groups are and how integral patient feedback is to help services improve.

We also talked about our work to support PPGs to be the best they can be.  Our colleagues at Healthwatch Kent had produced a framework to help PPGs assess themselves and identify where they may need to make changes.
