Update on St Werburgh Medical Practice

Following the closure of St Werburgh Medical Practice and its branch surgeries at Stoke Village Hall and Balmoral Gardens Healthy Living Centre last week, the CCG has today announced a temporary solution for patients.
GP closures

Last week the Kent & Medway Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) suspended the GP service at the three practices following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission which raised serious concerns.

Today, the CCG has announced a temporary solution to support patients.

Three local organisations (Medway Practices Alliance, The Elms Medical Centre and Highparks Medical Practice) have come together to offer a temporary solution for patients.  Patients can now ring and book appointments and organise prescriptions as usual.
