We're raising your vaccine questions directly with decision makers

Unsurprisingly we've had lots of calls and emails about the Coronavirus vaccine in recent weeks. We've been able to help some frontline workers get access to their vaccine.

As always, all your comments and questions about the Covid vaccine have been shared directly with the people in charge of organising the vaccine programme across Kent & Medway.

Some people have come to us with urgent requests which we have been able to escalate and resolve.

These have involved vaccination for Personal Assistants and Carers who are providing vital care for people.

Together with our colleagues at Healthwatch Kent, we have been able to confirm that both PAs and Carers are part of the initial phase of vaccinations and in some cases, we've been able to help organisations to book vaccine appointments for their staff who are caring for Kent residents.

Keeping up-to-date

New vaccine centres are being opened all the time. You can get the latest updates on the centre nearest to you by visiting the NHS website here

We all have an important part to play to help our NHS deliver their vaccine delivery plan:

Please do not contact the NHS to seek a vaccine, the NHS will contact you;

When you are contacted, please book and attend your appointment(s);

Turn up to your appointment on time, do not arrive early or late as the vaccination centres cannot accommodate you.

Regardless of whether or not you have been vaccinated, you must continue to follow the Government advice around COVID-19 restrictions. Find out what you can and can’t do

Have you had your vaccine?

Would you share your story with us? We really want to hear from you.

How did you get your appointment? How did you feel when you got the news? Was the clinic well organised? Did you feel safe?

All these questions, and more, are so important. Your feedback can help organisations to ensure the vaccine programme works for us all.
