More changes to GP surgeries

The Care Quality Commission has enforced immediate changes to the GP services at St Mary’s Island Surgery, The Sunlight Centre, Green Suite at Balmoral Healthy Living Centre, & Twydall Branch Surgery, at the Pentagon Centre following an inspection.
GP services changing

The GP service at all these surgeries was provided bt DMC Healthcare. Following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission on Friday 10th July, DMC Healthcare are no longer allowed to provide GP services from these premises.

GP services are commissioned by the Kent & Medway Clinical Commissioning Group. They have asked Medway Practices Alliance to step in with immediate effect to look after patients at all these surgeries. Patients will be able to phone the practises as normal. 

The news follows similar action at St Werburgh Medical Practice in Hoo which was also provided by DMC Healthcare.
